Forging Architectural Dreams Beyond the Stars
Look, we didn't just wake up one day and decide to call ourselves an architecture firm. It's been a journey—started back in 2015 when three of us were pulling all-nighters in grad school, sketching buildings on napkins at 3 AM and arguing about whether brutalism was dead or just misunderstood.
What got us hooked wasn't just the buildings themselves. It was this crazy idea that architecture could borrow from the cosmos—those massive, sweeping patterns you see in nebulas, the geometric perfection of planetary orbits, the way light bends around stars. We thought, why can't buildings feel like that? Why can't spaces make you feel like you're part of something way bigger?
So we set up shop in Toronto, got our first client who was brave enough (or maybe just desperate enough) to trust us, and honestly? We haven't looked back. Been grinding ever since, one project at a time.
We're not gonna feed you that typical "form follows function" line. Sure, buildings need to work—that's baseline stuff. But they also need to make you feel something.
We pull inspiration from celestial patterns—spiral galaxies, orbital mechanics, star formations. Sounds weird? Maybe. But it creates spaces that feel balanced on this deep, almost primal level.
Natural light isn't just a perk—it's the main character. We design around how sunlight moves through a space throughout the day, creating these living, breathing environments.
We're living on one planet, folks. Every project we do has to answer the question: how's this gonna age over the next 50 years? And we're not just talking aesthetics here.
Forget the stuffy architect stereotype. Yeah, we've got the degrees and the credentials and all that, but what really matters is how we collaborate with you. 'Cause let's be real—you're the one who's gonna live or work in this space, not us.
We start every project with what we call a "cosmic brainstorm"—basically just sitting down, talking about your vision, your weird ideas, the stuff you're afraid to say out loud because it sounds too ambitious. Those are usually the best parts.
We spend more time listening than sketching in those first meetings. Your story shapes the design.
First draft's never the final one. We refine, adjust, and rework until it clicks.
Blueprints are cool and all, but our 3D models let you walk through your space before we break ground.
From concept to construction, you're in the loop. No surprises, no mysteries.
No pretense, no corporate speak. Just folks who really care about making buildings that don't suck.
Principal Architect
Got obsessed with astrophysics before switching to architecture. Still can't shut up about both. Handles most residential projects and loves a good cantilever.
Lead Designer
Former interior designer who got bored with just picking paint colors. Now she's reshaping entire spatial experiences. Coffee addict, sustainability evangelist.
Urban Planning Director
Used to work for the city, saw how planning gets done (or doesn't), decided to do it better. Big-picture thinker who somehow remembers every building code.
People ask us this all the time. Sounds kinda sci-fi, right?
Here's the deal: "Astral" 'cause we're inspired by the cosmos. "Rift" because we're trying to bridge that gap between what's out there in the universe and what we build down here on Earth. "Forge" because we're not just designing—we're crafting, shaping, building something solid and lasting.
Plus, it just sounds cooler than "Chen, Ramirez & Okoro Architecture Ltd." Let's be honest.
Check Out Our WorkWe're based right here in Toronto, and honestly, we couldn't imagine being anywhere else. This city's got this amazing energy—it's constantly evolving, always building something new, but it's also got history and character worth preserving.
Every project we take on, whether it's a condo tower downtown or a family home in the suburbs, we're thinking about how it fits into Toronto's fabric. How it contributes to the neighborhoods, how it respects what came before while pushing toward what's next.
We've done projects across the GTA—Yorkville, Liberty Village, North York, Etobicoke, you name it. Each area's got its own vibe, its own challenges, and we love figuring out how to make something special in each context.
Got a vision? A weird idea? A plot of land and no clue what to do with it? We wanna hear about it.
Whether you're looking to build your dream home, renovate a commercial space, or plan an entire development, we're here to help make it happen. No project's too big, too small, or too unconventional for us.
